One of the toughest races in the United States, this course is legendary.
VeloNews Riders Guide named the Tour of Mt. Nebo one of the Must Do Races
in 2009. This list includes the best events in the country. Ride Magazine ranked
Tour of Mt. Nebo as one of the Top Ten Best Races. This course is tough.
Over 550-feet of climbing per 9-mile lap. Absolutely beautiful Susquehanna
River hills in southern Lancaster County. For a comparison, think of the European
Classics Liege Bastogne Liege or Amstel Gold Race. It is that kind of memorable course.
Whether you win or just finish, you will never forget riding the Tour of Mt. Nebo.
CourseThis is not a Girlie Man Criterium or simple flat cornfield race. No wimps allowed! Each race is set up to bring the best out of that categories competitiveness. Adding another lap will not change the result.
-It is recommended you scout the course before the race. Some of the descents can be breathtaking. So can the climbs but for a different reason. If you can not get to the course to ride it ahead of time, All That is Good makes a point of having all our courses well marked at least two hours before race time. I would not try to ride a lap on your bike unless you give yourself at least 40 minutes before staging time. Feeding will be allowed for events over 30-miles. If is is hot, water will become your priority. The finish is at the top of a 3/4 mile climb.
